Granada's Legendary Clubs: The Ones That Closed and What Stands There Today
· Updated:
Some of the clubs people still search for in Granada, Spain, no longer exist as clubs: El Camborio stopped running club nights in 2020 and now only hosts weddings, Boogaclub said goodbye in July 2023 and its venue is now Sala VĂbora, and MoonBack held its last party on 22 May 2026. At other addresses the names changed over the years, like Calle Arabial (Basaba, then Zambra) or Plaza de Gracia (Campus, Twoo, Camden). This is what happened to each one and what you'll find there today, with the source for every date.

El Camborio: the cave club of the Sacromonte
El Camborio, at Camino del Sacromonte 47, was a club like no other in the city: rooms dug into the caves, a view of the Alhambra and, for a generation of exchange students, the Erasmus party on Thursdays. Its nights had their own account, @camborionoches, whose last post is dated 13 March 2020, a statement about staying at home. The club nights never came back. El Camborio's website and its main Instagram account are still active, but they only offer weddings and events. Guides published as late as March 2026 still recommend it as a club, which is why it keeps appearing in searches.
Boogaclub, Go, YA, Kroquis: one venue, many names
The venue on Calle Santa Bárbara, near the Triunfo, has changed name several times. A 2021 guide described Boogaclub as a groove club near the station with live music almost every night and a weekly jam session. On 1 July 2023 its Instagram posted the farewell: together for the last time at Boogaclub. The space reopened as Sala VĂbora, which introduced itself as the former Booga, before that Go, before that YA, before that Kroquis. Today VĂbora books concerts and club nights; Sibelclan plays there on 23 October 2026.
MoonBack: techno on Arabial, 2018 to 2026
MoonBack The Club, in the Neptuno shopping centre at Calle Arabial 45, was Granada's in-town techno club. It is the most recent closure: its last party was on Friday 22 May 2026, and its Instagram bio now sums it up as closed after 2018–2026. For techno today, the action is at Industrial Copera in La Zubia, at DOMO's dates in Complejo Embrujo and in the new techno room at Vogues.
Techno in Granada todayArabial 62: Basaba, Zambra and Queen
Calle Arabial 62 has worn several names. Basaba, run by Grupo Zeppelin, held more than 800 people on two floors. Zambra Night Club opened at the same address on Thursday 20 June 2024, and salir.com listed a Queen Granada there in 2024 for an over-35 crowd. Today the club at Arabial 62 is UNY Club, with a central dance floor and VIP boxes. We haven't confirmed any link between these clubs and UNY: this is the history of the address, not a statement from the venue.

Plaza de Gracia: Campus, Twoo and Camden
According to salir.com, Sala Camden on Plaza de Gracia was previously known as Twoo Club, which in turn was the old Discoteca Campus. Taböa, a reggaeton and student club, is on Plaza de Gracia today, but we haven't confirmed that it's in the same space or has any link to those clubs.
Fleming, Forum Plaza and the ones we can't place
Discoteca Fleming, on Calle Doctor Guirao Gea in the Realejo, appears as closed in club directories, although a March 2025 guide to Latin clubs still mentioned it. Forum Plaza, at the corner of Acera del Casino and Almona del Campillo, still appears in guides from 2022 and 2023 and on the city's tourism website, but we found no sign of activity in years. Mosaïc Club, in the same Cárcel Baja building as Granada 10, says it's gone for now but coming back, and held a MOSAICO night at Granada 10 on 23 May 2026. And Babilonia, the summer club on the Las Gabias to La Malahá road, opened its 2026 season at Complejo Embrujo on 11 July, so the name lives on there.
The survivors
- Planta Baja: gig venue and club on Calle Horno de Abad since 1989.
- Industrial Copera: putting on music in Granada since 1992, now in La Zubia.
- Sala El Tren: live music and underground electronics on Carretera de Málaga since 2002.
- Granada 10 and Aliatar: two old cinemas turned clubs (Aliatar's building has more than 70 years of history).
- Efecto Club: some directories list it as closed, but it was announcing October 2026 dates.
