Sala El Tren Granada: Gigs and Club Nights, 2026-27 Season

· Updated:

Sala El Tren is a concert hall on Carretera de Málaga, in the Chana district of Granada, Spain, open since 2002. In the evening it hosts gigs, which usually finish between 11:30pm and midnight; later it turns into a club, with sessions that end between 6am and 7am. Its Instagram describes it as 23 years of fighting for live music and underground electronic music.

A venue built by sound engineers

According to the venue's own website, the people behind El Tren started around 1998 with an Andalusian cooperative that sold and rented sound and lighting equipment. The hall opened in 2002. It sits at Carretera de Málaga 136, unit 7 (18015), inside the city limits; some ticket sites place it in Armilla, but the venue itself says Granada.

Gigs early, club late

El Tren books touring bands from Spain and abroad, often louder guitar music, and on the same night can switch to a club session after midnight. On the electronic side the venue says it fits electronic music “in all its variants”: its Instagram talks about the most underground electronic music, with weekend sessions such as Pressure Lab or Sound System Family and, now and then, crossover nights from other promoters, such as a reggaeton party on Halloween. Each date has its own page on the venue's website with door times, which change from night to night.

Age rules and tickets

  • Concerts: minimum age 16. Under-16s only at events that say so, with a parent or guardian.
  • Club nights from midnight: 18+.
  • Advance tickets are sold online only, through the link on each event (the venue uses Janto).
  • The box office opens on the day, at door time, only if the show hasn't sold out online. Bring cash for the box office; cards are accepted inside.
  • Cloakroom from opening: €1 per hanger, cash only. Items that can't go inside must be left there.

All of this is from the venue's contact and FAQ page, checked on 20/10/2026. We don't sell El Tren tickets. If you are coming with a group or celebrating something, message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you plan the night.

Getting there

The venue says the N1 bus stops a few metres from the door and takes about 20 minutes from the centre; it lists the line as running from 6am to midnight, so plan the way back by taxi after a club night. There is no car park of its own, but being an industrial area, parking nearby is usually easy. Full details are on our venue page.

What to expect

It is a hall, not a cocktail club: a stage, a big floor, a serious sound system and a crowd that has come for the band or the DJ. On club nights the action starts after midnight and runs until morning. If you mix a gig with the session afterwards, check whether it is one ticket or two, because they are often sold separately.
