What Edelweiss Après Ski Is Like: Live Music and Views in Pradollano

· Updated:

Edelweiss Après Ski is a bar with a terrace in Pradollano, at the Sierra Nevada ski resort above Granada, Spain, with DJ sets and live bands after the slopes close. It calls itself the highest concert venue in Spain. It is seasonal: it closed on 26 April 2026 and reopens with the 2026-27 ski season, which the resort expects to start on 6 December 2026.

The highest stage in Spain?

“The highest concert venue in Spain” is how Edelweiss presents itself, and Salir repeats the claim in its January 2026 guide to Sierra Nevada bars. We haven't seen an independent measurement, so take it as the venue's slogan. What is clear from both Salir articles is the formula: DJ sessions, live concerts and good music, with a relaxed but lively atmosphere and a warm, cosy feel when the sun goes down.

The terrace and the food

Salir highlights a great terrace with spectacular views, and food along the lines of burgers and beer. Estiber, in its February 2026 après-ski guide, calls it a sure-fire classic for the first drink with views. In practice, it is where you go in ski boots or straight after leaving them in the locker, for the sun, a beer and the first live set of the evening.

Where it is and when it opens

Directories place Edelweiss in the Edificio Dornajo, on Plaza de Andalucía, in Pradollano (municipality of Monachil). It doesn't publish fixed hours. As an après-ski venue it belongs to the afternoon: Estiber describes Pradollano's tardeo as running from about 2pm to 9pm, starting on the Plaza de Pradollano, before the night moves indoors at around 10pm. For the 2026-27 season, watch its Instagram (@edelweissapresski_sierranevada) for the opening date and the concert line-up.

An après-ski route with Edelweiss

Estiber suggests a full après-ski route through Shaka, Edelweiss and La Jaima before dinner. After that, the night carries on at the clubs: Mango for the young, loud crowd, Sohmo for electronic music or La Chimenea if you want to stay by the fire until late. Our après-ski guide orders the whole thing by time of day.

Getting up from Granada

Pradollano is about 31 km from Granada, 35 to 40 minutes by car on a mountain road (Granada Direct). The good news for après-ski: the season bus run by Autocares Tocina from Granada bus station (€5 one way, €9 return) has its last departure down at 6:30pm, so an afternoon at Edelweiss and the bus home can work if you watch the clock. Inside the resort, Estiber notes that the Parador chairlift, linking the upper area with the main square, runs until 5:30pm.

Shaka and La Jaima, the other two stops

Since Estiber builds its route around these three, it helps to know the other two. Shaka, in the Edificio Montblanc in the centre of Pradollano, is a restaurant and bar with a tropical, cheeky touch that becomes an après-ski spot as the afternoon goes on. La Jaima, in the Edificio Europa, has a bohemian, relaxed design for a chill atmosphere with good music. Neither has a page of its own on our site yet, because we don't have enough current information on them.
