Taböa Club: Reggaeton and Faculty Parties on Plaza de Gracia

· Updated:

Taböa is a student club on Plaza de Gracia, in the centre of Granada, Spain, where the music is reggaeton and perreo and the calendar is full of faculty parties. It opens five nights a week, until 06:00 midweek and 07:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, and its door bans sportswear and trainers.

Barriles: the faculty parties

If you study in Granada you'll hear the word barril sooner or later: a party organised by a faculty or a student group, often to raise money for a trip or the graduation. Taböa is one of the clubs where they happen. Its recent Instagram posts include the 'Barrilazo Facultad de Ciencias' and the 'Barril Coro Musicología', and that's the clearest picture of who goes: students, often the whole class at once.

The music

The regular sound is reggaeton, perreo and urban music, with nights like 'Tiki Tiki Hot'. Now and then it changes register: 'Suite 2.0' is a remember session of 2000s house, and at Christmas it has run tardeos with that same sound. If your group mixes perreo fans with people who grew up on 2000s dance, keep an eye on those dates.

When it opens

Its Instagram bio gives the hours as 'M, X, J 00–06H · V, S 00–07H' (Spanish day initials): Friday and Saturday (V, S) from midnight to 07:00, and the other nights it lists from midnight to 06:00. It's a late club, so there's little point arriving right at midnight unless you want the dancefloor to yourself; the usual plan is drinks or pubs first and Taböa after.

The door: no trainers, 18+

Taböa has its door rules written down on its website. Entry is 18+ only and minors are refused even with a ticket, with no refund. Sportswear, flip-flops and trainers are not allowed, and neither is anyone visibly drunk. Tickets are checked against your ID at the box office. The event listings say 'casual', which in practice means normal going-out clothes with proper shoes.

Prices and tables

Prices published on 20 October 2026: entry with one drink or two beers, €10. Tables are among the most affordable we've seen in central Granada: reserved areas from €80, a dancefloor table with a bottle and shisha from €80, and a VIP table with a bottle and shisha from €120. The website notes that the guest list works every day except special events, which need a ticket.

Where it is

Plaza de Gracia is just off Calle Recogidas, a few minutes from Puerta Real, so Aliatar and Granada 10 are an easy walk. The square has a long club history: salir.com lists Sala Camden at Plaza de Gracia s/n, which it says used to be Twoo Club and, before that, the old Discoteca Campus, a name many Granada students of past decades will remember. We haven't been able to confirm that Taböa occupies that same space, so treat it as local lore until it's confirmed.

Tips for a night at Taböa

  • Leave the trainers at home: the ban is written in the club's rules and applies to everyone.
  • Bring your ID; the ticket is checked against it at the box office.
  • If your faculty is organising a barril, that's the busiest night to go.
  • On special event nights the guest list doesn't apply and you need a ticket.
  • For groups, a dancefloor table with a bottle and shisha from €80 can work out cheaper than individual drinks.
