Indie, Rock and Live Music in Granada: Venues and Club Nights
· Updated:
Granada's indie and rock nights revolve around a handful of venues in the centre: Planta Baja on Calle Horno de Abad (gigs and club since 1989), Vogues on Calle Duquesa (indie room and a Saturday indie tardeo), Sala Víbora in the old Boogaclub, Aliatar on Recogidas and the rock bar RocknRolla. Sala El Tren in the Chana area and Industrial Copera in La Zubia take the bigger tours. This guide covers what each one does, plus the gigs announced for autumn 2026 as of 20 October.

Planta Baja: the gig room that becomes a club
Planta Baja has been a concert venue and club on Calle Horno de Abad since 1989, and it's still the reference for indie and rock bands passing through Granada. After the gigs there are DJ sessions in room A and club nights in Club Sala B: CrankyClub, Orpheo Club, Total Break and Electro-Loser Soundsystem are some of the names on its programme. On Saturdays it opens early for Plantarde, a tardeo at 16:30 with free entry. Its Instagram bio carries a rainbow flag.

Vogues: the indie room and the Saturday tardeo
Vogues, at Calle Duquesa 37, is the club most people still call Sala Vogue. Room 1 plays indie, rock and pop mixed with commercial hits, and room 2 is techno since September 2026. It opens Thursday, Friday, Saturday and holiday eves from midnight, it's free before 3:00, and after that it's 10 € with a drink or two beers. On some Saturdays the indie tardeo runs from 17:30 to 23:00: the dates announced were 17 and 31 October and 14 and 28 November 2026.

Sala Víbora: the old Boogaclub
If you remember Boogaclub's jam sessions, the venue on Calle Santa Bárbara, near the Triunfo, is now Sala Víbora. Boogaclub posted its last goodbye in July 2023, and Víbora opened as the former Booga (before that Go, YA and Kroquis). It describes itself as a concert and music club in the centre: Fran Laoren played on 3 October 2026, Sibelclan is on 23 October and Elio Toffana on 11 December.
Rock bars and gig nights in the centre
RocknRolla, on Calle Gran Capitán, calls itself an underground space for music and puts on free gigs, such as Doctor Pretorius on 30 October and a Halloween show with La Venia on the 31st. Backstage, on Calle Moras, has two floors, live music on Fridays and a Friday tardeo with a band from 16:30. Aliatar mixes club nights with a concert programme that takes in rock, indie and tributes: Melón Diesel, Temples and Los Rebeldes are coming this autumn. And Ganivet, on Calle Ángel Ganivet, runs Indie by Ganivet nights in a disco-pub format.
Sala El Tren and Industrial Copera: the bigger stages
Sala El Tren, at Carretera de Málaga 136, has been programming live music since 2002, with gigs (16+) followed by electronic parties after midnight (18+). Industrial Copera, in La Zubia, holds 1,000 people and gets the big national tours: Love of Lesbian on 30 October and Arde Bogotá on 5 November 2026. Both are outside the old centre, so plan the trip back.
Sala El Tren agendaJazz and late-night live music
For jazz, El Eshavira is the classic: a club reached by narrow stairs on Postigo de la Cuna, by Plaza Nueva, programming jazz and flamenco since 1989 and open until late. Aliatar also hosts a jazz festival date with Luca Giordano and Víctor Puertas on 29 October 2026.
The gig venues sell their own tickets, but if you're coming as a group and want a table at a club afterwards, or the list at Vogues, message us on WhatsApp.
