New Year's Eve 2026 in Granada: Club Parties, Cotillón and the Midnight Chimes

New Year's Eve 2026 in Granada, Spain, falls on Thursday 31 December. The first club party on sale is Mae West's, with tickets from €25 and high tables from €150, and Colón Plaza also sells its own. Many people take the grapes at home or at the free city party in Plaza del Carmen and then go on to a club with a cotillón ticket. This guide was checked on 20 October 2026 and we update it every week as venues announce.

How New Year's Eve works in Granada

The pattern is the same as in the rest of Spain. Dinner is at home or in a restaurant, the twelve grapes go down at midnight with the chimes, and the party starts after that. Clubs sell a special New Year's Eve ticket, often called a cotillón, which costs more than a normal weekend and usually includes drinks and a party bag; what exactly is included varies from venue to venue, and Mae West's ticket page doesn't detail it yet. Tickets go up in price in tiers, so the early ones are the cheap ones. Tables and booths for groups also sell out first.

Age limits matter more that night. Every club is 18+, and some raise the minimum age on New Year's Eve: in past years granadadirect listed 23+ for Mae West's party. Carry your original ID and read the ticket conditions before you buy.

The chimes and the free party in Plaza del Carmen

Plaza del Carmen, in front of the city hall, is the public option. Granadadirect describes a free party organised by the council there from 22:30 to 02:00. The 2026 programme hasn't been published yet, so treat the hours as a guide until the council confirms them. It's a good place to take the grapes with a crowd and then walk to the centre's clubs, all within a few minutes.

Club parties: Mae West, Colón Plaza and the rest

Mae West, the biggest club in Granada with several rooms in the Neptuno shopping centre, was the first to put New Year's Eve on sale: Fin de Año 2026 tickets from €25 and high tables in the main room from €150, as of 20 October. Colón Plaza, the Plaza Isabel la Católica club with a karaoke room and an electronic room, sells its New Year's Eve through Enterticket. The rest had nothing published yet. Granada 10, 365 Music Club, Taböa, Vogues and UNY Club put their dates on their FourVenues agendas, and Aliatar on its own website, so expect announcements over November and December. If you're after techno, note that Industrial Copera had no event on 31 December on its agenda as of 20 October; its big December date is Vortex XXL with Ben Klock on the 11th.

New Year's Eve in Sierra Nevada

Sierra Nevada's 2026-27 season is scheduled to open on 6 December 2026, so if it does, the Pradollano clubs and après-ski bars will be open over Christmas. Sohmo, for example, says it opens every day in season. None had announced a New Year's Eve party as of 20 October. Remember that the road back to Granada is a mountain road: if you go up, plan to sleep there or book transport in advance.

How late the night goes

Andalusian rules give clubs one extra hour on the eve of a public holiday, and 1 January is a holiday, so 31 December counts as one: clubs can stay open until 07:00, as on any Friday or Saturday. The usual timeline is dinner, the chimes at midnight, the Plaza del Carmen party until about 02:00 if you go, and then the club until closing. Mae West's ticket page doesn't show an entry time or what the ticket includes yet; when it does, we'll add it here.

Tables for groups: reference prices

If you're a group, a table is often the simplest way to do the night. New Year's Eve tables are priced separately (Mae West's start at €150), but a normal October weekend gives you an idea of each club's range: Granada 10 had tables from €120, 365 Music Club booths from €120, UNY Club high tables from €100 and VIP booths from €150, and Taböa booths from €80. Tips for the night

• Buy early: tickets and tables go up in tiers and the good tables go first.
• Read what the ticket includes (drinks, party bag, entry time) before comparing prices.
• Carry your original ID: some clubs raise the minimum age that night.
• Plan the way home: taxis are scarce after the chimes and again at closing time.
• UGR Christmas holidays run from 23 December to 7 January, so check who in your group will actually be in town.
