What RocknRolla Granada Is Like: the Underground Rock Club on Gran Capitán
· Updated:
RocknRolla Underground Club is a rock bar and club at Calle Gran Capitán 25, in central Granada, Spain, open since 2016. It mixes free gigs by up-and-coming and established bands with DJ sets until late, and it is more of a music bar than a nightclub. Its Instagram calls it an underground space dedicated to music.

Who is behind it
RocknRolla belongs to Grupo Zeppelin, one of the big nightlife groups in Granada. The same group runs Granada 10, the club in the old cinema on Cárcel Baja, plus bars like La Chica de Ayer and Sonora Saloon. The group's website says RocknRolla opened in 2016, that the space has been renovated, and that international, national and emerging bands have played there. It also describes it as a place for music in all its styles, with concerts and DJ sessions.
What it sounds like
Rock is the backbone, in the broad sense, with each night shaped by the band that is playing. After the gig the DJs take over and the bar turns into a small club. The gigs RocknRolla announced for late October 2026 were free, which is a big part of its appeal: you can walk in, see a band and stay to dance without paying a ticket. Not every night has a concert, so check its Instagram for the week.

Google Business listings, as shown on FiestasHoy, give these hours. They are a guide only; the venue does not publish a timetable on its Instagram.

Getting there
Calle Gran Capitán is in the centre of Granada (18002), within walking distance of the main nightlife streets. It is an easy late stop after dinner or tapas, or after a gig in another central venue such as Planta Baja or Sala Víbora. Our venue page has the map.

What to expect
A bar with a stage rather than a club with a VIP area: a crowd that likes guitars and a night that can start with a band and end at closing time. We haven't found any published dress code. If you are planning a bigger night out in the centre, our guide to Granada's nightlife areas helps you string it together.
Before and after: the rest of the group
Because RocknRolla belongs to Grupo Zeppelin, it slots into a night with the group's other places. La Chica de Ayer is on Pedro Antonio de Alarcón, the student bar street, at number 18. If you want to finish in a proper club, Granada 10, also in the centre on Calle Cárcel Baja, ran its Friday nights from midnight to 7am in October 2026, according to its listings. That gives you a route: a beer and a band at RocknRolla, then dancing at Granada 10 until close.
When to go
Going by the hours on Google Business, from Thursday to Saturday it opens earlier, at 10pm, which leaves room for a gig before the DJs; the rest of the week it opens around midnight and works more as a late bar. To catch a band, check its Instagram for the week's dates. For Halloween 2026 it has announced a free concert with La Venia on Saturday 31 October.
